About the role

This role will work as part of a team to provide a high level of emotional support to people living with blood cancer. The role will also assist individuals with their needs and provide advice on how to navigate the health system and associated systems. The role will be primarily based at Artarmon.

We are looking for the following:                                             

  • Experience around cancer care within a hospital or community environment, or experience with other chronic diseases.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of blood cancers.
  • Demonstrated ability in effectively using insights to effectively and consistently deliver results.  
  • An ability to navigate complex working environments and drive better outcomes.
  • Proven planning and delivery skills – able to ensure progress/outcomes and deliverables through self and others.
  • Ability to adapt, thrive and deliver in a changing and evolving organisation.
  • Strong verbal & written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills Current drivers licence
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Oncology/Haematology – Nursing, Social Work/Welfare, Behavioural Sciences desirable
