Doncare Community Services is the primary community services agency in the City of Manningham. For 49 years Doncare has served the community through delivery of a range of services including: counselling; emergency relief; social support for the elderly; parenting support; and support to people experiencing family violence.
About the role
Vacancy – Board Director – Doncare Community Services
Doncare is currently seeking to recruit a new volunteer Board Director. The appointment is for a three year term and may be renewed. The role carries the typical expectations of a Board member in providing strategic direction and governance to the entity. The Board is keen to hear from people with experience in any of the following areas:
- Legal experience in regulation and public policy.
- Experience in IT architecture and data management in the not-for-profit sector.
- Experience in health, safety and environmental sustainability.

The Doncare Board meets monthly (excluding December) in the evenings on the third Monday of the month. Board members are expected to serve on Board Sub-Committees from time to time, which meet on an as-required basis.
