Gowrie Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation, established in 1939, committed to its purpose – ‘For those who teach and care for children, (we) champion good early childhood education and care.’ Gowrie Victoria’s service offerings include Children’s Programs located at Carlton North, Docklands and Broadmeadows, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 3900) that delivers nationally recognised qualifications in the full scope of vocational training in Early Childhood and School Age Education and Care, and Professional Learning that transforms practice with sustainable learning.
Reporting to CEO and as a key member of the Executive team, you will be jointly accountable for the strategic direction and overall success of Gowrie Victoria. Leading and managing the finance and commercial functions, you will strengthen the business planning and analysis processes to build the capability and capacity of the organisation. Delivering excellence in all aspects of finance, risk, procurement and IT, you will support others to ensure effective business decision-making and organisational efficiency.
The successful candidate will be an experienced CFO or Commercial Manager for a growing medium sized organisation ($10 million plus). Ideally with a CPA / CA qualification you will have strong accounting and financial expertise. With exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills you will thrive in a collaborative and mutually accountable team environment. An ability to support others in the use of non-financial and financial measures is critical, as is experience in driving evidenced-based decision making that aligns values and purpose of an organisation.
