This is a great opportunity to join the Swinburne University Advancement division and play a pivotal role in supporting the wider Advancement team with exciting new projects and events. The Events and Projects Officer role reports to the Team Leader, Events and Projects, and is responsible for administering university and advancement events and projects by supporting event logistics, including event set up administration, liaising with event presenters and suppliers, as well as fostering strong internal and external relationships. The role works closely with the broader University Advancement Office, and regularly liaises with donors and alumni.

Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with planning and organisation of various events
• Supporting event logistics, including, event set up administration, liaising with event presenters and suppliers
• Develop/maintain event records in Raiser’s Edge, the Advancement database
• Supporting project activities within the University Advancement team
• Preparing internal and external event communications for stakeholders

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
• Demonstrated high level planning and organisational skills and the ability to handle various and multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure
• Experience in working with multiple stakeholders
