About the organisation
Safe Futures Foundation (SFF) is a not for profit Specialist Family Violence Organisation that provides frontline services to women and children to help them escape control, abuse and violence and rebuild their lives. We have been responding to family violence and changing people’s stories for over 40 years. We employ managers, team leaders, intensive case managers and women’s and children’s advocates across 2 main sites in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs. We are funded by the Department of Health and Human Services.
The Foundation supports women and children through three key programs:
- Safe in the Community
- Intake and emergency response and
- Community Connect
Our clients may be referred to us by Safe Steps, Victoria Police, Centrelink and self referrals.
About the role
Safe Futures is seeking qualified and experienced staff two part time Intake Coordinator roles to augment our existing refuge and emergency response service. The ongoing positions have been established in response to the recommendations of the Royal Commission into family violence.
The part time Intake Coordinator workers offer a flexible work arrangement and incumbents will work a roster including weekends and evenings. One roster covers 10am – 4pm Sunday and 3.30 pm – 8pm Monday to Wednesday. The alternative roster covers 3.30pm – 8pm Wednesday – Friday and 10am – 4.pm Saturdays. Both positions would also be required to cover the after hours on-call recall roster and some public holidays.
Safe Futures Foundation offers generous salary packaging and superannuation in addition to the remuneration.
