The ACO’s Philanthropy Department is a vibrant, busy and successful team of three, who reach significant targets through a blend of philanthropic programs and large-scale fundraising events.

About the role

Experienced Philanthropy Executive sought for Australia’s most dynamic international performing arts organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will be a confident, curious, articulate individual with good knowledge of Australia’s philanthropic landscape and the Performing Arts industry, and (ideally) an appreciation of classical music.

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, the Philanthropy Executive plays a vital role in the team.

About the role

The Philanthropy Executive is responsible for:
Managing the day-to-day administration of relationships with donors and contributors; 
Organising, attending and hosting Donor events, as required;
Supporting the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, as well as prospect cultivation and stewardship events;
Researching prospective philanthropic donors to the annual giving program and prepare donor profiles based on research;
Supporting the Philanthropy Manager and Director of Philanthropy with the preparation of solicitation materials and tailor written proposals.

Skills and Knowledge
Ideally at least 1-2 years’ experience in the delivery of fundraising programs;
A proven ‘doer’ with a strong focus on execution within small, agile teams A good understanding of Australia’s philanthropic landscape;
Excellent interpersonal skills; Excellent persuasive writing skills;
Excellent communications skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at a variety of levels;
The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy work environment;
Tessitura experience;
Genuine love of the arts;
IT skills to enable effective use of CRM, Office and other programs when necessary.

Attitudes
Confident, curious and articulate;
Ability to work effectively in a team;
and An understanding of the Performing Arts industry and an appreciation of classical music (no formal music training or knowledge required).
