Your Role
As part of the Fundraising Group, your role will involve:
• Contributing to the development and implementation of cohesive Philanthropy strategy and plans with the Philanthropy team
• Impacting our income by identifying and cultivating relationships with key individuals, families and other donors who are trustees/directors
• Developing effective project proposals and grant applications tailored to the interest of donors, trusts and foundations
• Collaborating with our International Program Team to identify and build the case for projects which would benefit from engagement with Trusts and Foundation grants and gifting
• Researching and scoping the Trusts and Foundations market to raise that Caritas Australia profile and to establish and strong and evolving pipeline of grant leads for ongoing relationships.
Your Capabilities
You will thrive as a Philanthropy Trusts and Foundations Specialist if you:
• Have significant experience in a fundraising or grant management role within a philanthropic organisation
• Have highly developed networking skills and contacts across a range of sectors including the community, government, and grant-seeking organisations
• Are an excellent communicator, able to adjust your style to engage with people of all ages, financial and social backgrounds
• Are proficient in researching and communicating for influence in written form such as proposals, grants and presentations
• Are proficient with donor/customer databases (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office for documentation, information recording and planning
• Have high ethical standards in dealing with sensitive financial and confidential matters
