About the organisation
International Social Service (ISS) Australia provides social work, legal and mediation services to families and children across international borders. Our services include assistance for families experiencing international parental child abduction, support on intercountry adoption, family tracing and reunification, international family mediation, and facilitating kinship care and other child welfare matters. We are the independent Australian arm of the ISS network, spanning over 133 countries worldwide. We receive government funding for some services, but rely on fees, donations and other income to continue providing the full range of our services.

International Social Service (ISS) Australia seeks a world in which children, young people and adults are safely connected to family anywhere in the world.
We support children, young people and families separated across international borders, as the Australian member of the worldwide ISS network, based in Geneva.
We focus on adoption, child abduction, family tracing, child safeguarding and surrogacy, in international or intercountry contexts. We provide a range of social work, legal and mediation services.
As our Business Development Manager you’ll make a critical difference to our clients’ lives by increasing and diversifying revenue to allow services to be delivered and extended.
You will be an experienced and successful fundraiser with a sound knowledge of Australian philanthropy and preferably strong contacts. You will be a hands-on and energetic team player with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and strong empathy with ISS Australia’s mission.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director and liaising with the Management Team and a new Marketing & Fundraising Committee, this role will be challenging and stimulating. Appointment is fixed term for 6 months, with the possibility of renewal based on performance against targets.
A competitive remuneration package, including salary packaging, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
