Tipping the Scales (TTS) is a three-year, place-based Community Justice Project taking place in Victoria’s Central Goldfields Shire, centred in Maryborough. The Project aims to improve service coordination and increase access to justice for people affected by family violence in the region.
The Community Development Project Worker will work alongside and in collaboration with a designated project lawyer and local partners to deliver the TTS Project, with responsibility for driving stakeholder and community engagement, project coordination and monitoring and evaluation activities.
The successful applicant will be a collaborative individual with strong communication and coordination skills and an understanding of community development principles and approaches. They will work under a social determinants and community development framework to deliver activities that address disadvantage and improve community justice and wellbeing outcomes through meaningful community engagement.
In addition to a Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as education, social work, community development, public health, public policy or law, applicants must have an unrestricted driver’s licence and be able to obtain a Working the Children Card.
LCCLC offers tax-effective salary packaging (up to $30,000 grossed-up per FBT Year), plus access to Accommodation and Meal Entertainment packaging. We also provide an additional three days ex gratia leave between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Relocation assistance may also be on offer for the right candidate.
Just 1¾ hours from Melbourne by freeway and regularly serviced by train via Kyneton and Castlemaine, LCCLC is based in one of regional Victoria’s most desirable localities, featuring excellent schools, health facilities and cultural experiences. The TTS Project is implemented in Maryborough, a vibrant Goldfields town with a rich history, centrally-located within 45 minutes of Bendigo, Castlemaine and Ballarat, and accessible via train from Ballarat.

The Bendigo-based Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre (LCCLC) (a program of ARC Justice) delivers a range of legal assistance services (casework, education and policy) across North and Central Victoria.
