About the Role
The Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS) is seeking to recruit an Administrative Support Officer to join the Disability Advocacy Resource Unit (DARU) team.
DARU is unique in Australia as a dedicated resource unit funded to work with disability advocacy organisations to promote and protect the rights of people with disability. We develop and distribute resources and provide training opportunities to keep disability advocates informed and up-to-date about issues affecting people with disability in Victoria. DARU also hosts regular professional development events.
The DARU Administrative Support Officer will report to the DARU Coordinator, and work collaboratively with VCOSS and DARU staff as well as with disability advocacy organisations. The position will provide administrative support to DARU including responding to queries, preparing weekly e-bulletin, maintain the DARU website and database, and provide quality administrative support for DARU events.
This position is part-time. Salary and conditions of employment are governed by the Victorian Council of Social Service Enterprise Agreement 2017 and VCOSS policies and procedures.
