The Position

This exciting role will be an ambassador and leader representing the organisation and its strong creative brand. The successful candidate will provide leadership and foster a collaborative, innovative and inclusive organisation. The role requires a forward looking, visionary leader who can work effectively and strategically with the Board.

The Board of Directors at Montsalvat is seeking to appoint an Executive Director who will drive the organisation’s local, national and international cultural agenda.

The role requires on the ground leadership across the arts, cultural events, community involvement, heritage property management and functions. Key to success will be leading the future creative arts strategy that is integrated across the organisation. Oversight of a visitor experience plan will be an important priority along with revenue generating strategies and initiatives.

Partnership, community development and stakeholder engagement are also key aspects to the role. The position leads a small dedicated team and has accountability for budget outcomes and resource allocation.

The successful candidate will be accomplished in leading an organisation encompassing community, corporate and/or cultural networks. Skilled in implementing strategy, you will display a hands-on approach and the ability to consult with a diverse range of people and groups. Exhibiting creative and innovative leadership, you will also bring financial acumen and planning and organising capability. Relevant qualifications are required.
