About the role

Position Title: Fundraising Coordinator Department: Marketing, Communications & Fundraising

 

Reports to: Marketing, Communications & Fundraising Manager Terms of Employment: Permanent full time.

We’ve been providing crisis accommodation and support to people experiencing homelessness due to mental health, family violence, and other personal crises – for 35 years.

 

Position Summary: The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for implementing the annual fundraising strategy and supporting the MC&F team. The key goals of this position include growing supporter and fundraising income, engaging new industry and community partners, and implementing the annual calendar of fundraising and community events.

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage Direct Mail campaigns • Utilise the newly customized CRM database • Help coordinate fundraising events – from an annual gala dinner and golf day, through to business partnership and major donor events • Implement regular giving conversion strategy • Responsible for producing analytics and department reports • Management of one part-time direct report • Take on additional tasks as delegated by MC&F Manager, and COO.

 

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in fundraising and NFP sector • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team • Experience in managing multi-channel fundraiser communication campaign • Experience implementing an array of donor engagement, community, and industry events • Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal skills • Experience in maintaining donor records in a CRM program • Experience using MailChimp • Strong social media skills • Full Driver’s license Behavioural Capabilities • Understands the viewpoints and activities of other departments within the organisation and relates this work to own department’s work • Ensures the structured and timely implementation of departmental work-plans • Takes responsibility for achieving results and maintains effective work behaviours under pressure • Works through complex challenges to achieve success and makes sound decisions despite uncertainties and pressure • Maintains transparent and accurate reporting to the appropriate level • Controls strong emotions and responds constructively to challenges • Works with others to achieve shared goals • Effectively expresses opinions, information and key points in a respectful manner • Responds quickly and appropriately to the needs of stakeholders • Ability to adjust to a diverse working environment, and Ad hoc projects.
