About the job:
Here’s a snapshot of what the Fundraising Manager will be responsible for:
- Review, design, deliver and develop strategies across fundraising disciplines:
o Bequests
o Trusts and Foundations
o Regular giving – management and retention program
o Workplace giving - Develop, implement and maintain a detailed Fundraising Plan in the above areas with an emphasis on increasing revenue (including a long-term growth strategy)
- Develop and maintain the Fundraising area budget in association with Head of Fundraising and Marketing and Finance Department
- Development of donor management strategies through the use of ThankQ database
- Plan marketing and communications collateral for all fundraising activities in conjunction with the Marketing Manager
- Maintain records and report on monthly progress
- Seek donations through workplace giving and regular giving and grow our database to achieve revenue targets
- Develop and manage a regular giving program to ensure donor retention and acquisition is fulfilled
- Attend to the fulfilment of fundraising materials, such as sending regular giving welcome packs, end of year statements and other communication
- Maintain and expand the Regular Giving Donor Database and increase participation rates
- Work with the Head of Marketing and Fundraising to manage the relationships with our lead generation suppliers and telemarketing supplier and ensure that all financial targets are achieved
- Identify and prepare grant applications for Trusts and Foundations that support the organisation’s programs
About you:
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- At least 3 years’ experience and demonstrated success developing and delivering programs in a fundraising role
- Excellent relationship, networking and communication skills
- Proven ability to meet fundraising targets, along with creating and developing new fundraising opportunities
- Demonstrated project management skills, including a proven ability to develop budgets and work with constraints to achieve financial targets
- Experience with fundraising/relationship management databases
- Experience with digital onboarding processes
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team, as well as autonomously
- The ability to excel under pressure
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Previous not-for-profit experience (highly regarded)
