About the role
Domestic Building Legal Service (DBLS) is funded by Consumer Affairs Victoria to provide assistance to consumers who cannot otherwise access legal assistance and whose matter did not resolve at DBDRV.
An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Principal Lawyer with 5 years post admission legal experience and practise experience in domestic building disputes. You will support the delivery if access to justice through free legal services for people experiencing disadvantage which includes building, supporting and engaging a strong commitment to pro bono work among lawyers.
If you have a minimum of 3 years in domestic building dispute legal practise, experience in law reform and advocacy work (preferred), sound knowledge of the legal issues commonly arise for people experiencing disadvantage, knowledge of the procedures of VCAT are a highly motivated individual with sound computer skills within a legal practice environment- we would love to hear from you.
This role is fixed term till 30 June 2021. We can offer either a Part-time (0.8 FTE) or Full-time position.
