About the role

  • Contribute to a sophisticated donor retention program
  • Sydney CBD, potentially returning to Kensington 2019
  • 12-month fixed term contract, potential extension

The Role

Reporting to the Donor Stewardship Manager, this newly created role supports the delivery of the Division of Philanthropy’s major donor program. Responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the development of donor stewardship strategies
  • Develop resources to assist fundraising staff steward their donor portfolios
  • Build excellent relationships with fundraising staff and provide stewardship information and advice
  • Proactively identify new and improved ways to steward the University’s donors
  • Work collaboratively to identify efficiencies and streamline processes in program management
  • Provide assistance with key stewardship events and initiatives

Skills and Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in development, fundraising, donor relations, stewardship or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop copy for external audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and drive to build strong internal relationships
  • High-level project coordination skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to add to strategic plans and develop new initiatives to meet specific objectives
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating initiative and flexibility to prioritise work based on project timelines
