The Opportunity

Monash Sustainable Development Institute (MSDI) is one of the leading interdisciplinary research and education institutes for sustainable development around the globe. Driven to find real solutions to some of the world’s most significant challenges, MSDI brings together Monash University’s leading researchers to focus on large societal issues such as climate change, inequality and new models of economic development.

Are you interested in helping to drive a higher standard of public policy and discourse? As a member of the MSDI team, this role will enable a broader understanding of the system and context in which policy and interventions are taking place; and engage diverse stakeholders in the collaborative processes required to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Working closely with the Deputy Director, Enterprise, the Project Manager will bring creativity to the task of developing compelling evidence-based propositions for government, business, civil society and the community. The Project Manager will draw on project management methodologies and apply best practice models, frameworks and processes to achieve project outcomes.

We are looking for candidates who possess postgraduate qualifications in economics, public policy or a field relevant to sustainable development and who have extensive project and people management expertise.
