About the role
We have an exciting new position that has arisen in our Preston Branch.
There are two roles Senior Case Manager / Case Manager for Stronger Families and Restorations.
You will play a key role in supporting families to identify goals, develop plans with families to address and meet their needs, monitor and review care plans to support families to achieve goals.
A key area of work for this position will be home visits to children and families, parenting advice and support, referrals and advocacy in relation to housing, income security and linking families with other services as required.
This role includes the supervision of 2 caseworkers.
The Aboriginal Stronger Families program aims to, prevent Aboriginal children who are involved with Child Protection and are at imminent risk of being removed and placed in out of home care because of protective concerns, from entering the care system, by providing culturally appropriate and intensive supports to the child and the family.
As our Senior Casworker you will have an ability to work in a culturally respectful and competent manner with individuals, families and communities to ensure that cultural connections are fostered and maintained.
Along with the items above, you will need to have experience and knowledge in caseworker/case management skills.
