ABOUT THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
SSI’s Volunteer Program is part of the Community Engagement Unit. The Volunteer Program recruits, trains and matches volunteers, students and interns to roles that support individuals and families reach their potential in the wider community.
Leading a team of four, the Volunteer Program Manager is resp onsible for setting the policy framework, co-designing volunteer training opportunities, overseeing the team’s operations and monitoring the program’s outputs. The Manager is also responsible for ensuring the program is responsive to emerging demand for volunteers, students and interns. Key functions of this role are to ensure SSI’s practice is benchmarked to the National Standards in Volunteering and influence volunteer leaders across the organisation to acknowledge and celebrate the remarkable contribution of our unpaid workforce.
We are looking for someone who is tertiary qualified, has previous experience managing a large volunteer program, is an expert in program modelling as well as volunteer recruitment and management. You will be a natural people leader and have strong stakeholder management skills. Experience working with volunteers from a diverse back ground would be highly regarded.
