About the Role
The Seymour Railway Heritage Centre Inc, is looking for an Administrative person , preferably with knowledge of Word, Publisher and Excel programs.
The person will occupy an air conditioned office at the premises in Seymour , will have access to a computer and the IT network and once trained , will be largely autonomous.
The work will involve preparing and responding to emails, scanning and electronic filing of records, input of rollingstock certifications , rollingstock records and repair documents, engaging with customers, placing material orders, answering the telephone and general Administrative type functions.
Assist Commercial Manager in marketing and promotion of special train tours
Providing support for the President, Secretary, Engineering Manager and Accreditation Manager.
Engaging with Government Departments, mainly V/Line and ARTC
A current drivers licence would be desirable.
About the Organisation
The Seymour Railway Heritage Centre Inc. was formed in 1983 and has been entrusted with a number of Government rail assets including locomotives and carriages.
The SRHC has a membership of about 120 persons of various backgrounds and we restore old carriages and locomotives to operating condition and provide regular train tours on Victoria's rail network to allow the older heritage style trains to be enjoyed by the community.
We have a large property at Seymour , Victoria and all assets are stored mostly under cover and there is constant restoration work in progress to both wooden bodied and steel carriages.
The SRHC is a not for profit group and is a registered charity . All revenue raised is placed into the business.
