About the organisation

Organisation Name : Children's Ground

Our vision

An Australia free from extreme poverty and inequity.

What does this mean?

We are working to create a new reality with First Nations communities devastated by intergenerational disadvantage: an environment where families realise their aspirations for the next generation of children to be free from trauma and suffering, enjoy equity and safety, be able to grow into adulthood happy and healthy, and have agency over their social, cultural, political and economic life.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for 2 dynamic, creative and talented people to be part of the Children’s Ground Communications and Fundraising team.

You will be part of a bold, independent Not-For-Profit organisation that is establishing a First Nations led approach to learning and wellbeing, creating a different future with children, families and communities experiencing the greatest levels of disadvantage and inequity in Australia.

We are applying a different approach to these appointments – one where we will design the role around what you bring to the table – your strengths, background and experiences.

The Communications & Fundraising Manager/Coordinator/Assistant will work closely with the Communications and Fundraising team managing, coordinating or assisting with fundraising and communications activities, philanthropic relationships, grant submission and report writing, social media and electronic communications, communications calendar planning and media relations.

The Fundraising Project Officer will drive and coordinate our end of year fundraising campaign.

If you have a passion and demonstrated commitment to the rights and interests of First Nations Australians and experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, media or Public Relations please apply!

We welcome and support applications to both roles from First Nations candidates with expertise in, or a passion for and relevant skills in, the areas of communication and fundraising.

An attractive salary (including salary sacrifice) will be negotiated based on experience, background and skills.
