About the role

The National Marketing & Fundraising Manager leads the organisation’s fundraising, marketing and communications activities.  The aim of this role is to diversify and build on our existing fundraising revenue base.

We are looking for an energetic, hands-on senior manager in marketing and communications; a big-picture thinker, articulate and engaging with proven success in driving strategic growth and managing diverse stakeholders. As an inspirational leader, you will demonstrate great people management skills and a passion for the not-for-profit sector and the cause.

Leading a department and reporting to the CEO, the key responsibilities of the position are to:

  • Deliver on the department’s annual KPIs in line with the organisations strategic plan;
  • Recruit and retain high functioning, dynamic team;
  • Support your team to deliver activities relating to branding, communications, media, events, corporate partnerships, bequests, individual giving, community fundraising, trusts and foundations and online fundraising;
  • Increase the existing profile of Kids Under Cover;
  • Increase revenue from existing and new initiatives; and
  • Provide high level strategic advice to the Senior Management Team, CEO and Board.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • At least 10 years marketing experience with minimum of three at a senior level.
  • Experience managing multi-channel/integrated campaigns (TV, outdoor, print, digital, radio etc).
  • Experience in fundraising and leading teams.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Experience in managing diverse relationships with varied and multiple external agencies/suppliers including designers, PR and media buyers.
  • A strong track record as both a strategic thinker and implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business/Marketing/Communications (preferred).
