Beginning with the appointment of a new Vice-President, Philanthropy in February 2016, we are significantly expanding our team.  UNSW Sydney is now recruiting for a Development Manager, Business School that, with the broad support of centralised alumni & engagement, prospect development, donor services and stewardship teams, will implement strategies to achieve significant philanthropic revenue targets, and manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects. The focus is on cultivating and soliciting major and planned gifts in support of the University’s highest fundraising priorities.   UNSW Business School is creating the next generation of business thinkers, change makers and entrepreneurs.  Located in Sydney but deeply connected to the world, our collaborative education and research partnerships extend throughout the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the UNSW Development Director (Business & Law), you will take a leading role to support the growth of UNSW Business School’s fundraising programs. Responsible for the implementation of strategies to achieve significant philanthropic revenue targets for projects such as scholarships and cutting-edge research, you will manage a personal portfolio of approximately 85 to 100 major gift prospects. The focus is on cultivating and soliciting major gifts in support of the School’s highest fundraising priorities in close partnership with UNSW alumni relations and development colleagues.

If you have sophisticated relationship management skills and experience of securing major gifts and managing major donor fundraising campaigns to support priority projects, please submit your CV, Cover Letter and Responses to Selection Criteria (nominated in the Position Description).
