Finance Manager

Bring your finance skills to support the development of this leading bird conservation organisation.

BirdLife Australia (BirdLife) is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide strong financial management support for the organisation based in BirdLife’s National Office in Melbourne.

You will be responsible for the timely provision of financial reports, budgets, payroll and key management reporting. Critically, you will provide analysis and support for BirdLife’s operations, compliance, risk management and strategic decision-making process.

The role will report to a new Head of Corporate Services and will manage a small, dedicated team and support over 40 community groups to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting.

The successful candidate must be CPA/CA qualified and likely to possess a background in a not-for-profit, association or perhaps a small to medium commercial enterprise where you have been exposed to the entire business operation and its underlying financials. With well-developed communication and people management skills, you are able to identify with a broad stakeholder base, providing leadership and financial intelligence in support of the ongoing development of BirdLife.
