Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant will provide professional accounting and analytical financial reporting including the preparation of financial and non-financial data and performance reports; the provision of timely and accurate financial information; financial month end reporting; preparation of month end reconciliations; control and distribution of funding to relevant programs; assist in the completion of acquittal reports for relevant funding bodies; supporting operations by providing monthly financial results and analysis of financial results

SELECTION CRITERIA

Relevant degree and post graduate accounting qualifications, either CPA or CA and at least 5 years in a similar role. Demonstrable experience in month end reporting processes and general ledger reconciliations; the ability to close off monthly accounts; demonstrable focus upon meeting agreed deadlines; demonstrated ability to add value, improve efficiency and be innovative; demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and standards; demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new systems; Advanced Excel skills; ability to work flexibly and demonstrate a willingness to respond to changing work requirements and peak period demands.
