The Smith Family is a national charity that helps young Australians in need to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. The Financial Literacy Program Coordinator is a pivotal role in the coordination of delivery of the Certificate I Financial Services across multiple states as per funding agreements, in collaboration with community based Learning for Life Programs Coordinators.
A day in the life of the Financial Literacy Program Coordinator, might look like this, though really every day is different
- Supporting Learning for Life Programs Coordinators to select appropriate delivery partners.
- Managing training resourcing including invoicing, facilitator travel, relationships and quality control.
- Working with the Training Manager to identify, appoint and train qualified training facilitators.
- Administration of program resources, student paperwork and assessments.
- Maintaining up to date skills and knowledge in Cert IV training and assessment, Certificate I Financial Services and Money Minded.
It takes a special kind of person to be a Financial Literacy Program Coordinator. You will have a Certificate IV in training and assessment, with demonstrated experience in project coordination and the social/community sector, and prior experience training Adults. You will have well-developed organisation and time management skills, and be an excellent communicator, with the ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be someone who is both flexible and adaptive, and who is committed to continuous improvement. Most importantly, you care about helping some of the most disadvantaged in our society.
