About the role
Part time – 22.5 hours per week (flexibility essential, working hours range from 9am – 5pm and 3pm – 9pm)

This is a significantly important and newly piloted role, responsible for the design and implementation of training to our staff and volunteers who support St Vincent de Paul Society Soup Van Operations by supporting members and volunteers to be effective in their responses to the most disadvantaged in our communities

Key services include home visitation; youth programs; soup vans; assistance for asylum seekers and refugees; Compeer programs for people experiencing mental illness; education and tutoring; overseas development programs and a range of accommodation and social services through the VincentCare Victoria network.
We are looking for a high energy and passionate Quality and Training specialist at St Vincent de Paul.

About the role and the “exciting” stuff you’ll be doing
As part of the broader Service Development team with close connections to the Human Resources team at the Society you’ll be joining a dynamic and passionate group of people who are hardworking and make a difference.
Reporting to the Work Health and Safety Manager, you will partner with Soup Vans Operations and deliver training and compliance to support members and volunteers to be effective in their responses to the most disadvantaged in our communities.

For our Service Development team, success is all about enabling the Society to establish and maintain a great culture with highly engaged people.
To do this you will need:
- A passion for training and health and safety in the workplace.
- Demonstrated experience in Workplace Health and Safety and Food Safety procedure implementation, monitoring and compliance
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Effective time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Ability to use a range of computer software, including Microsoft Office
- Flexible working hours required including a substantial number of weeknights and weekends
- Current motor vehicle drivers licence
- A willingness to occasionally travel throughout Victoria as required
