ABOUT THE ROLE
This is the perfect role for someone from any area of fundraising who loves developing relationships and being on the phone. It is a great step up role. In this role you will have complete autonomy in a standalone role to lead the organisations bequest program alongside an exciting and ambitious fundraising team. Through your excellent relationship management skills, you will ensure that bequest fundraising is promoted to the Australian public effectively. Reporting directly into a wonderful Head of Individual Giving Manager, you will be part of a large driven team.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is the only national body that funds life changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public. Breast cancer is the most common cancer facing Australian women, with eight women dying from the disease each day. Research is the only way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. By funding only world class research, NBCF is working towards a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the organisations bequest program, from bequest communications, pipeline management and stewardship
- Focus on building relationships and developing a large pipeline through high levels of phone calls
- Promote the program to the Australian public effectively
- Engage and nurture supporters through daily phone calls, organising and running events such as lab tours, morning teas and visits
- Develop, manage and implement the Bequest strategy and budget in consultation with Head of Individual Giving
- Develop successful direct marketing campaigns to further the programs reach
- Work through all administration matters, specifically bequest estates

For this role, it is ideal that you have:
- Some experience in a fundraising environment
- Experience working with donors, supporters, partners or bequesters
- Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and a love of being on the phone developing relationships
- Success project managing campaigns
- Proven experience managing budgets
- Excellent written and communication skills
