About the role
As a Raise Program Area Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own team of Program Counsellors and ensuring the successful outcomes of all aspects of our mentoring programs.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and support your team, and an outstanding ability to conduct effective group and individual supervision sessions. You will forge strong partnerships with schools in your allocated area, and attend local interagency meetings. Equally important is your attention to detail in ensuring that all administration requirements of your team’s programs are in place.
You will have at least two years’ experience with people and program management, and qualifications counselling, psychology, social work, or youth work. You will preferably have experience in mentoring and training.
The role will commence in Term 1, 2019 for a total of 10 hours per week for 35 weeks during school term time, and we would love you to be available to attend our staff team conference on 19 and 20 November in Sydney, with expenses paid. This role is covered by the SCHADS Award and salary packaging is available, reporting to the State Manager in Victoria.
Key responsibilities include
Building rapport with and managing your team including individual debrief each week
Regular team meetings and immediate response support as required
Ensuring that high standards and consistency are maintained across all Programs
Ensuring your team meet all of their own responsibilities and KPIs
Managing regular meetings with your team of Program Counsellors
Able to attend weekly face to face or Skype meetings with your State Manager
