  • Currently based in Ballarat

At CAFS We Care. We Care about our clients, our community and the people within our organisation. CAFS works with children and families to provide early help and prevention, targeted support and ongoing assistance.

This new position has been created for a strong leader to provide direction in the delivery of programs available to men who have used violence and abuse against their partners, ex/partners and children. This is an exciting time for CAFS where new ideas are encouraged and the existing team is knowledgeable and passionate about the work they do.

The CAFS Family Violence Program provides a range of interventions for male perpetrators of family violence and their affected family members. Provision of services is to both voluntary (community referred) clients and mandated (court ordered) clients and their respective affected family members (women and children) while supporting the perpetrators of family violence to take responsibility for their actions and provide them with supported choices to end their violence.

Qualifications

Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work, Family Violence or Psychology practice or related discipline.

Formal training in professional supervision/reflective practice is preferred.

Experience

Substantial post graduate experience in the field of specialist expertise (Family Violence)

At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role

About you

As a passionate and motivated individual, you will work within a team of likeminded people with the goal to deliver a quality program that increases the safety of women and children. You enjoy team work, building strong relationships and working within a passionate and knowledgeable team.

You will have experience exercising managerial responsibility, legislative requirements and funding requirements in collaboration with Program Coordinators and Managers. You will lead the development of strategies to develop and expand quality services and identify current and future opportunities for quality outcomes.
