Volunteering Victoria is the peak body for volunteering in Victoria. Our membership is drawn from volunteer involving organisations (VIOs), volunteer support organisations (VSOs) and volunteers from across Victoria. About the role

HOURS | 1 day per week (0.2 FTE) |
TERM | Until 30 June 2021 (subject to recurrent funding) |
LOCATION | Level 2, 491 King St West Melbourne, or otherwise agreed |
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the implementation of Volunteering Victoria’s VSO annual activity plan in Melbourne, consistent with the requirements of the DSS grant agreement
- Provision of information to individuals and their communities about volunteering
- Individualized assistance to match volunteers with opportunities
- Promotion of volunteering and volunteering opportunities
- Support the DSS grant agreement requirements by submitting information for six monthly reports
- Develop and manage relationships and/or partnerships relevant organisations/networks (such as neighbourhood houses and libraries) in Melbourne to support VSO service delivery
- Proactively work with other Volunteering Victoria staff to ensure the development and delivery of programs and activities relevant and essential to the purpose of this role
- Engage and manage volunteers to support the role as required
- Adhere to Volunteering Victoria’s policies and processes
- Other relevant duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Networking and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of and experience working across diverse NFP environments
- Knowledge of volunteering and experience in volunteer coordination / management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office suite of products
Highly Desirable
- Knowledge of and experience working in a membership association
