About the role

Our client is a leading cause based not-for-profit who delivers complex projects and programs of work in the scientific arena. An increase in projects and a need for a wider array of capital campaign expertise has led to the need for an experienced Capital Campaign Manager to join the team.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, this role will be responsible for the promotion, management and day-to-day operations of a planned $100M+ capital campaign. This position will play a critical role in developing the five-year capital campaign strategy, including the execution of the fundraising operating plan.  This position will also coordinate principal and major gift prospect identification, draft fundraising proposals, liaise with external consultants across the globe and manage logistics for engagement and cultivation events in the US, UK, Asia and Australia.

Being an innovative, energetic, proactive and adaptable Capital Campaign Manager, you will have extensive experience coordinating, implementing and maintaining all aspects of the fundraising campaign. You will also have a proven track record of coordinating principal and major gift prospect identification and cultivation of efforts.

To be successful in this role you will have relevant tertiary qualifications, skills and/or experience in fundraising or related fields, with 7-10+ years’ proven track record in capital campaigns, individual giving and/or major gifts, prospect management, event management and the tracking/monitoring of pledges. You will have demonstrated success in establishing solicitation priorities, managing prospect lists and research, developing and executing targeted cultivation and stewardship plans for a range of prospects including; preparing and providing support to staff, board members and volunteers for solicitations. You will have a natural ability to be agile and focused on outcomes with excellent problem-solving skills. A willingness to stretch beyond the boundaries of the role and the flexibility to respond to requests outside of usual business hours is required.

Significant experience working on a capital campaign and/or with external fundraising consultants is highly desirable, as is proficiency in MS Office, Raisers Edge or other donor database software.
