About the role
PCA has an exciting opportunity for a full- time Communications Officer to join their passionate and dedicated team.
Reporting to the Manager Communications, Engagement and Media, you will be responsible for assisting in developing and delivering the communications and stakeholder engagement strategy. This includes assisting with all aspects of communications and social media management, writing articles and media releases, media monitoring and reporting, website management and engaging and managing relationships with partners, members and other stakeholders.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
• Assisting with the development, implementation and evaluation of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies, plans and activities
• Writing, editing and formating material for publications, reports and other communications across a range of mediums including electronic, multimedia, video, print, etc.
• Assisting in managing day-to-day media and public relations activity
• Managing website maintenance, including but not limited to content updates and images in line with simple English and accessibility principles
• Planning, coordinating and reporting on social media activities including updates on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, government, related organisations and groups.
