Humanitarian Settlement Program Manager

This is an unprecedented opportunity to shape the here and now and future of new Australians. The Humanitarian Settlement Program Manager is responsible for the management of the HSP program which is central and core to SSI’s reason for being; the day-to day service delivery and implementation of the HSP contract.  Reporting to the General Manager Service Delivery – Settlement the HSP Manager will work to maintain and exceed SSI’s reputation of delivering excellence as the best provider of settlement services in the sector.

A demanding role requiring strong resilient leadership and proven management capability, you will be committed to team work, be overtly client – centred and collaborative across the multiple teams of the division and other units of SSI.  You will lead and support the hardworking efforts of up to 250 fulltime staff and a network of volunteers who all assist in the delivery and continuous improvement of the HSP program. Understanding the immediacy of problem solving and dealing with the unexpected, you inspire others to deliver outcomes they did not think possible, are diplomatic and driven by values of respect, compassion and integrity. With proven experience working with people of different backgrounds you enjoy networking and developing partnerships with like – minded individuals and organisations.

The purpose of this role is to manage the day to day service delivery implementation of the Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP) contract including;

• Strategic management, development and evaluation of the Humanitarian Settlement Program; SSI is the best provider of settlement services; it seeks to maintain and exceed its reputation to deliver excellence in this sector.
• Sector relationship management to actively continue to build the reputation of SSI externally in the sector, raise awareness and build community understanding, engagement and support for newcomers to Australia and those who are overcoming disadvantage.
• Contract management relationship with government to ensure broader strategic issues are interpreted, elevated and addressed.
• Lead and manage the Humanitarian Settlement Program team; determining resourcing, capabilities, budgets, KPIs, people development and performance management.
