Your Role
This is a four to five day per week role. As part of the Community Engagement team, your role will involve:
- Leading the development of relationships and partnerships with Schools and Universities
- Designing and delivering Caritas Australia’s justice education programs and community events such as Project Compassion
- Contribute to the Community Engagement strategy that includes a national approach to Schools and Universities
- Contributing to the development and implementation of regional School and University strategy
- Collaborating with the region’s Community Participation Leader(s) to ensure integrated and coordinated approaches to community engagement
- Regularly reviewing practices, strategies and programs to ensure continuous improvements in quality and impact of school engagements
Your Capabilities
You will thrive as a Justice Educator if you have:
- Extensive experience in Catholic Education
- Teaching/presentation skills such as planning, coordinating and facilitation
- A passion for Social Justice and ability to lead, motivate and inspire a variety of audiences in this area
- Networking skills to build new relationships with key educational institutions, teachers and students
- An understanding and commitment to promote the principles of Catholic Social Teaching
