About the Role
A new and exciting opportunity to work with our most generous supporters. This role will develop and implement strategies to grow income through our Lead with CARE major donor program.
You will come to know every major donor well, nurturing the portfolio to maintain and strengthen existing donor relationships, while also cultivating new ones. Your experience developing strategy to achieve financial targets will set you apart from others.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement CARE Australia’s strategy for Major Donors (>$4kp.a.) philanthropic fundraising and engagement
- Manage existing relationships with CARE’s Major Donor supporters Develop and implement an annual business plan and budget
- Source and secure funding opportunities for new and lapsed Major Donors
- Prepare regular financial and non-financial performance reports
- Initiate and develop strong relationships with Major Donors and key decision-makers in Private Ancillary Fund (PAFs)
- Develop strong proposals, pitches, cases for support, and project reports to update funders on the impact of their investment in CARE’s work
Ideally you will have
- Demonstrated experience in working with major donors and bequestors, and success in PAF fundraising
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing engagement strategies for fundraising and stewardship, including moves management
- Exceptional written communication skills and extensive experience securing large donations from individuals
- Strong numerical skills with demonstrated experience in budget management, pipeline management and reporting
- Exceptional relationship management skills and proven ability to develop productive, results-focused relationships implement strategies and manage relationships with funders
