Who we are
Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is a not-for-profit organisation that works with partners to alleviate disadvantage – towards an Australia where all people and communities thrive. We influence systems to deliver better social outcomes for people by learning about what works in communities, helping organisations be more effective, sharing our perspectives and advocating for change. SVA has talented and highly committed people from business, government and the social purpose sector with the skills, knowledge and experience to contribute to alleviating disadvantage.

SVA’s Partnerships team is key to ensuring the future sustainability and growth of SVA by developing and managing our relationships with funders, including trusts and foundations, business and high net worth individuals/families. The Partnerships team actively seeks funding from supporters, works closely with senior executives to support their funding relationships and helps steward SVA’s close relationships with our philanthropic and corporate supporters.

The position
This exciting position sits within SVA’s Partnerships team and works with a wide-ranging mix of internal and external stakeholders. The primary purpose of the role is to support the Partnerships team operationally and to help identify and service funding opportunities nationally, working with the team to meet funder requirements. The scope of the position is wide-ranging, including research and CRM data base management, administration, some events and meeting and diary coordination of Partnerships team activity, including executive support and diary management for the Director of the team. It requires regular use and updating of a Salesforce database, progress monitoring and reporting.

Who you are

If you are driven by excellence, have a strong eye for detail and are willing to be proactive and ‘hands on’ in a fundraising environment with a clear client focus, this is the role for you. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in a fundraising, research, account service or client facing role, ideally in the not-for-profit sector. You will come to the position with proven experience successfully organising work in an environment with multiple demands, together with a strong working knowledge of databases such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office. An understanding of fundraising and relationship management practices will be an advantage.

SVA values diversity in our workforce and encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

If you have the knowledge and experience we’re looking for and are excited to join our dynamic team, please submit your CV (max 3 pages) and a statement (max 1 page) addressing the person requirements by midnight AEST Sunday 2nd December.
