The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) is a mission-led organisation committed to developing buildings, cities and communities that are healthy, livable, productive, resilient and sustainable. Established in 2002, the GBCA is the nation’s authority on sustainable buildings, communities and cities and its purpose is to lead the sustainable transformation of Australia’s built environment. The GBCA’s activities are to certify, educate and advocate policies and programs that support their vision and purpose.

GBCA is at an exciting time in their evolution; with a dedicated board, expert staff, proven track record for excellence and delivery, it is well positioned to grow and expand its impact. Given their strong foundation and talented executive team, you will provide strategic direction and inspirational leadership to ensure the achievement of GBCA’s vision, organisational objectives and financial sustainability.

Using your exceptional communication and relationship management skills, you will be committed to empowering others and engaging a wide range of stakeholders including members, government, industry and media.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially astute leader with strong strategic, financial, operational and people management skills gained in the public or the private sector. Experience with government and influencing policy would be advantageous. Property, sustainability, or infrastructure experience would also be highly regarded.
