About the role
Doncare’s Social Support for Seniors Program is an innovative, exciting and well-supported program that provides opportunities for socially isolated seniors to access social opportunities to enhance their personal wellbeing and enjoy friendships.
An opportunity to recruit a new team member for the Doncare Social Support for Seniors Program has arisen with funding of a Community Visitor Scheme.
The Community Visitor Scheme and Social Support Assistant position offers the opportunity to be involved the commencement and ongoing oversight of the exciting, new Community Visitors Scheme along with involvement in providing support, organisation and administrative tasks to the Commonwealth Home Support Program funded Social Support Group activities, a program that Doncare has operated for over 20 years. The position involves interaction with volunteers, clients and / or their carers, as well as liaising with external service providers and government representatives and requires an individual who respects and enjoys and is able to relate to an older client base.
