Our client is a high profile non-denominational community organisation working for disadvantaged young people who may be homeless, drug dependent and/or recovering from abuse. This organisation supports young people as they work to turn their lives around and overcome immense personal trauma. Their goal is for young people to leave their care drug free, with a high school education, living skills and a job.

About the role

The Role

This is a rare and career defining role that will see you lead the transformative operations of a recently established Compliance Quality & Practice business unit of this high profile charity.

You will oversee the organisations systems of policy, compliance and good governance. You will provide leadership in planning and delivery of multiple business solutions including government relations, grant submissions, research and evaluation, outcome reporting and risk, compliance and quality frameworks. You will provide leadership in engaging the business on this journey of change and embrace a continuous improvement environment. Additionally, you will establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes.

The Successful Person

As a subject matter expert in one of the below disciplines you will be able to provide advanced knowledge of project and program management methodologies in addition to holding extensive experience in leading operation start-ups or significant change management reforms that impact whole of company. Equally this will be supported by your demonstrated leadership capabilities and quality multidisciplinary team management practices.

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills should be coupled with your ability to actively engage, motivate and effectively influence at all levels of the organisation and a wide range of external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. You will meet challenges with flexibility, tact and diplomacy. You have highly developed problem-solving skills with proven capacity to plan, manage and implement strategic solutions.

This key leadership role reports to the CEO and is a valued contributor of the Executive Group. You will support the organisation’s Risk and Audit Committee and formulate informed advice on governance, policy and risk at both program and organisational levels.
