About the role
Our Fundraising team raise funds and awareness to support people living with MS and other PND. While we receive some government fundraising, there is a significant shortfall which means we need to fundraise to provide essential support and services.
We currently have an exciting opportunity available within our Donor Development team for a Donor Development Coordinator to help deliver the growing individual giving fundraising program. This is a permanent full time position and will report directly to the Donor Development Manager. As Donor Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in the execution of MS Queensland’s donor acquisition, retention and care strategies. The role also oversees MS Queensland’s grants program. Key responsibilities of the role includes but not limited to:-
•Management and execution of MS Queensland’s direct mail appeal program, including the digital and social media components of each appeal.
•Work with the Donor Development Manager to deliver a donor centred retention strategy, ensuring MS Queensland is the ‘best at thank you’.
•Work with the Donor Development Manager and Executive Leadership Team to identify and conduct prospect research on foundations and corporations for potential grant requests of support.
•Development and preparation of proposals and grant applications.
To be successful, you will be highly customer orientated with proven experience in developing and managing strong relationships with a variety of key stakeholders. Additionally, you will also possess the following skills and experience:-
•Experience in direct marketing across all channels including direct mail acquisition and telemarketing.
•Tertiary qualifications in Marketing/Fundraising or equivalent work experience.
•Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
•Experience in using databases to support and analyse customer experiences.
•Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines and an ability to work under pressure.
•Proven ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
•Level of physical capacity commensurate with the responsibilities and requirements of the position.
•Ability to understand and abide by the MS Queensland’s Code of Conduct and other relevant policies and procedures.
•Ability to prescribe to MS Queensland’s mission, goals and organisational values.
•Positive Notice: satisfactory completion of DSQ Criminal History Check.
