The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Philanthropy, Head of Marketing and Head of Communication and working with a dedicated and passionate team, this pivotal role by providing executive administrative support, contributing to The Smith Family’s vision.
A day in the life of an Executive Assistant might look like this, but every day can be different. Primarily, you will be responsible for:
- Effectively manage calendars for the Executive Managers;
- Provide meeting support, including effective record keeping and action planning;
- Coordinate key administration processes;
- Manage travel bookings and travel plans for Executive Managers; and
- Assist with producing correspondence, presentations and providing support for a variety of projects and events.
It takes a special kind of person to be our Executive Assistant. Our successful candidate will bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience in executive level administration and support
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people right across the organisation
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Work, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent written communication skills with high attention to detail
- Problem solving – ability to quickly understand complex problems and develop workable solutions
