About the role

Finance and Operations Officer

Contract type: Ongoing opportunity, available January 2019

Contract hours: 22.5 hours/week

Remuneration: Salary pro rata of $100,000-$105,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus 9.5% super *

Role requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent
  • CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants of Australia & New Zealand membership
  • A minimum of 5 years’ previous experience leading the finance function for an organisation at a senior level
  • Sound commercial and business acumen with a results driven approach
  • Experience managing compliance and risk management functions
  • Advanced skills in Xero and Excel
  • Experience in Salesforce (desirable)
  • Not-for-profit experience (desirable)
  • Police Check and WWCC required
  • Australian working rights

The Finance and Operations Officer role has been carefully designed to attract someone with work-life balance in mind.

We are seeking a Financial and Operations Officer with strong commercial acumen to join us as we embark on an exciting phase of growth and development. While this hands-on Finance and Operations Officer role will meet your expectations of the necessary variety and challenges at a senior level, you will also play an active role in managing the day to day functions of finance and operations.

Our team while small and geographically dispersed are highly collaborative and driven to achieve our mission and purpose.


You will be:

  • An experienced Finance and Operations Officer
  • Confident in taking a hands-on approach and willing to develop and work across all finance and administrative management functions when required
  • Clear and effective communicator
  • Highly collaborative with strong stakeholder liaison skills
  • Proactive in applying a problem-solving approach
