About the organisation

Organisation Name : Justice Connect

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of Australia’s most successful public interest and social justice organisations, in its innovation and engagement team working on a cutting edge project at the intersection of law, design and technology. Justice Connect is a not-for-profit organisation with a vision of a fair and strong community in which people have a fair chance at a better life, the community sector is strong and vibrant and the legal/justice and non-legal social systems are fairer and better.

At Justice Connect, we believe everyone deserves a fair chance at a better life. That’s why we use the law to help people and community groups left behind by an unfair and complicated legal system. Whether it’s a single mother facing homelessness, a local community group struggling with overwhelming regulation or an older person dealing with family violence, real-life problems often have legal solutions. We open up the legal system for those locked out of it, and to change the system where it is broken.

The key to our impact is the passionate commitment of our people. We hold ourselves to the highest standards, driven by a desire to deliver real improvements in the lives of the people and communities we help. We are one of the most innovative justice organisations in Australia, working alongside organisations like Google, Stanford and others to meet the ever-growing challenge of unmet legal need in Australia.

About the role

Role purpose

This exciting new role is part of Justice Connect’s acclaimed innovation and engagement team. Undertaking some of the most cutting edge work at the intersection of justice and technology, our innovation team works on a range of projects that aim to scale Justice Connect’s reach and impact and improve the experience of people seeking legal help and of the lawyers that help them. Key responsibilities

Referral pathways and integrations will be explored, with the potential to create deep system integrations with key justice agencies such as Victoria Legal Aid. The role will also work with the innovation and engagement team to make product improvements based on real user data and insights.
