About the organisation
This is a national suicide prevention charity that focuses on raising awareness, building capacity, providing help and research to the construction industry. It delivers several training programs to various construction organisations that aim to raise awareness about suicide in the workplace, and to make it easy to access help and ensure that assistance is delivered practically, professionally and appropriately.
About the role
Contribute to this growing administration team, where you will be the often first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders of the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Assistant, this role will require you to utilise your existing administration and office coordination skills as you provide support to the Queensland office in this varied administration position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reception duties, including answering telephone enquiries and meeting and greeting visitors
- Manage meeting room bookings and preparation
- Coordinate travel arrangements for field staff
- Assist with coordinating events and preparing marketing materials
- Data entry utilising internal databases and assisting with financial records as required
- Order stationery and office consumables
- Answering helpline support calls and redirecting calls to case managers
- Sort, record and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail
- Other administrative duties as required to support the Executive Assistant
Skills & Experience required
Previous administration or office coordination experience is required. In order to be successful in this position you will also need to demonstrate:
- A proactive and helpful attitude, and a willingness to assist with other duties as necessary
- An empathetic and understanding nature – you will be dealing with people who are experiencing issues affecting their mental health
- A commitment to the importance of high-quality client service and work outcomes
- An ability to remain calm and level-headed while working under pressure, as priorities are often changing within this dynamic work environment
