The Organisation
Neuroscience Research Institute (NeuRA) are a renowned medical research institute striving to prevent and cure brain and nervous system disease affecting millions of Australians. Their work being underpinned by a diverse and innovative fundraising program.
The Role
Working closely with NeuRA’s CEO, Foundation Director and Researchers you will coordinate all aspects of applying for funding from trusts, foundation and corporate partners.
You will identify prospects and with an understanding of funding priorities prepare proposals that align with the values and goals of the relevant funding bodies and NeuRA’s research projects.
You will build a pipeline of funding opportunities and work with the Foundation Director to nurture relationships with trusts and foundations and corporates in order to build these income streams.
Skills Required
This role would suit an articulate and well-presented relationship professional. Your experience may come from corporate or trust and foundations fundraising or, from the commercial sector where there has been a focus on business development and writing compelling business proposals.
Your key skills and experience will include;
- Strong prospect research skills, intuitive with an ability to identify opportunities
- An ability to confidently engage stakeholders including through business development
- Excellent communication skills, writing with creativity and flair with attention to detail
- Highly organised, mindful of processes, able to plan and meet deadlines
- Fundraising experience and/or in a medical research organization will be favourably regarded.
