ABOUT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
At SSI, the Community Engagement team creates pathways for newcomers to engage meaningfully and be included in the Australian community. We are informed by community voice and achieve our goals through developing community leadership, building capacity and stakeholder engagement.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
The Welcome2Sydney Project is an innovative project that facilitates connection between volunteer Hosts and families who are newly arrived to Australia. The Project Officer will coordinate internal stakeholders to lead project implementation and respond to feedback from participants as it emerges. You will be responsible for implementing and reviewing communications and promotional strategies for the Welcome to Sydney Project, coordinating internal units to support the Welcome2Sydney project, stakeholder management and project administration. Please note: this position may be required to work on the weekends.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will be a creative and energetic person who is able to facilitate warm introductions between City Hosts and families who are newly arrived to the community. You will have a degree in Community Services or Social work or equivalent industry experience, exce llent project management and administration skills. Experience in the settlement sector will be desirable as is the ability to speak Arabic.
