About the role

  • A sensational opportunity to join one of Australia’s leading international not-for-profits
  • Develop and deliver new Oxfam Trailwalker event in Adelaide
  • Max term contract April 2019 to October 2020, full-time, 35 hours per week
  • Adelaide based

As Oxfam’s Events Product & Operations Coordinator you are responsible for the development, securing, planning and delivery of a new Oxfam Trailwalker event in Adelaide.

You will work collaboratively with the Operations Team based across Australia to deliver a holistic event management service.

You will play an important role in ensuring that all Oxfam’s fundraising events positively and accurately reflect the work, values and vision of Oxfam Australia.

A little about you (the key selection criteria)

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in event product development and/or replicating an existing event in a new location, preferably in the mass participation event industry
  • Proven ability to lobby and positively influence new stakeholders in order to secure an event, and the ability to maintain new relationships
  • Excellent, results focused project management skills with the ability to meet hard deadlines
  • High-level experience in event operations and logistics, including risk management, scheduling, contractor management, creation of event venue layouts, route planning, traffic management and the management of equipment and supplies
  • Well-developed problem solving/analytical skills, including the ability to improvise within changing circumstances
