About the organisation
We are working to create a new reality with First Nations communities devastated by intergenerational disadvantage: an environment where families realise their aspirations for the next generation of children to be free from trauma and suffering, enjoy equity and safety, be able to grow into adulthood happy and healthy, and have agency over their social, cultural, political and economic life.
About the role
The position will lead a multi-disciplinary team focused on improving the health and wellbeing outcomes for the community. The Health team works with local First Nations people, supporting individuals and families in the development and implementation of health plans. The successful applicant will have significant expertise in health promotion and senior organisational health roles.
If successful, you will enjoy:
- Working in a close-knit, small and passionate team
- Being part of an organisation that is pushing to change the future of Australia’s most disadvantaged communities
- Taking part in forming the future of the organisation
- Working within an intergenerational approach that supports and values an Aboriginal world view whereby language and culture is at the forefront of learning, wellbeing and development.
An attractive remuneration package will be on offer for the successful candidate at a SCHADS award rate of 7.1-8.1, depending on experience.
