About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic experienced individual to undertake a generalist position within the Shepparton- based GVCLC but a significant portion of its client interaction will occur on location at the Mooroopna complex of Rumbalara Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. The incumbent will primarily work with the Senior Rumbalara Lawyer in the further development and conduct of a Health-Justice partnership.
Terms and conditions of employment are based on the Community Legal Centres Multi-Business Agreement with over award (SCHADS) salary based on qualifications, skills and experience. Along with salary packaging, accommodation and meal/entertainment packaging is 3 days ex gratia leave between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Relocation assistance is also on offer for the right candidate.
In addition to possessing the qualifications necessary to practice law in Victoria, applicants must have a desire to pursue a career in public interest and community law and must have an unrestricted driver’s license

The Shepparton-based Goulburn Valley Community Legal Centre (a program of ARC Justice) operates primarily in the Goulburn Valley region (LGAs of Greater Shepparton, Mitchell, Strathbogie, Benalla, Mansfield and Moira). Just over 2 hours north of Melbourne by freeway and regularly serviced by train via Seymour, GVCLC is based in one of regional Victoria’s most desirable localities, featuring excellent schools, health facilities and cultural experiences.
