Organisational Context
To work at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre is to be an advocate for change and the chance to make an extraordinary difference in the lives of people seeking asylum.

The ASRC is at the very coalface of a collaborative, diverse and powerful movement aiming to restore and uphold the rights of people seeking asylum. Working with the refugee sector and people seeking asylum, we demonstrate the impact of harsh and unjust policy to the people who make the laws and seek to influence positive change in legislation.
We see first hand the impact of government policy on people seeking asylum and we give voice to those stories in the media and the community.

We are the largest provider of aid and support services to the refugee and the asylum community including areas of direct aid, employment, legal representation, health, counselling and casework.

In order to act in the best interests of people seeking asylum and advocate without favour, we do not accept federal government funding and rely on the generosity of the community to support our work. We are a community movement for change and change is happening.
